Weed Management

Weeds growing in landscape beds, driveways, and sidewalk cracks may seem harmless, but they take your free time, and can cause costly damage in paved areas. As weeds expand, they force concrete and pavers apart, allowing water in and accelerating cracking and deterioration. Homeowners often spend $100–$400 on minor crack repairs, $600–$3

As weeds expand, they force concrete and pavers apart, allowing water in and accelerating cracking and deterioration. Homeowners often spend $100–$400 on minor crack repairs, $600–$3,000 for more extensive damage, and $5,000 or more if full driveway or sidewalk replacement becomes necessary. Professional weed treatment is a simple, affordable way to protect your hardscapes, maintain curb appeal, and avoid expensive repairs in the future.

Frequently Asked questions

Are Your Applications Safe For My Family?

Our approach centers on building lawn health naturally. By including organics in our program, we develop thick, dense turf that becomes its own best defense against weeds, insects, disease, and drought. All products we use are TESTED and APPROVED by the EPA, all of our technicians are licensed applicators we know the label is the law and we follow it EVERYTIME!

The insecticides we use include derivatives from chrysanthemum plants and ultra-low-dose products. We limit the use of harsher chemicals that other companies rely on heavily.

A HEALTHY LAWN also PROVIDES ENVIROMANTAL BENEFITS by absorbing pollutants, producing oxygen, preventing erosion, and creating cooler outdoor spaces. Nearly 70% of the Oxygen in your home comes from your lawn, the healthier your lawn the better the oxygen in your home. Our clients can use their lawn shortly after treatments are applied.

How Much Should I Water?

Most established lawns require about 1 to 1.5 inches of water per week (including rainfall) to remain healthy and green. Watering should be deep and infrequent—typically 1–2 times per week—to encourage deep root growth, rather than shallow, daily watering. The goal is to moisten the soil to a depth of 6–8 inches.

Best Time: Water in the early morning (between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.) to minimize evaporation and reduce fungal growth.

Soil Type Matters: Sandy soils require more frequent watering because they drain quickly, while clay soils hold water longer and need less frequent watering.

The "Screwdriver" Test: If you can easily push a screwdriver or trowel 6 inches into the soil, your lawn has enough moisture.

Signs of Need: Dry, grayish grass that doesn't bounce back when walked on indicates the need for water.

How to Measure Watering:

Place an empty tuna can or shallow container within the sprinkler's reach. Run the sprinklers until you have 0.5 to 1 inch of water in the container to understand how long you need to water to meet the weekly requirement.

What Is The Recommended Mowing Height ?

The ideal mowing height for most residential lawns is 2.5 to 4 inches, which promotes deeper roots, shades the crown of the plant and the soil to reduce weeds, and increases drought resistance. Never remove more than one-third of the grass blade in a single cut to avoid stress.

Key Mowing Height Recommendations

Cool-Season Grasses (Fescue, Bluegrass): 2.5 – 4 inches.

Warm-Season Grasses (Bermuda, Zoysia): 1 – 2.5 inches.

Summer Height: Raise the mower to the highest setting (3-4 inches) during hot, dry weather to conserve moisture.

Fall/Final Cut: Lower to 2 inches in the late fall to prevent winter matting.

How Much Does Lawn Care Usually Cost?

Lawn care services vary widely in price depending on lawn size, condition, and the level of service provided. Basic services from national chains may start around $30 per treatment, but often exclude many essential services that are then offered as upsells.

On Site LLC provides Superior service with our comprehensive approach to lawn health, which includes organic nutrients and preventative treatments that many of our competitors charge extra for. Our clients find tremendous value in having the healthiest, most beautiful lawn possible that continues to improve year after year, and our dedication to communication education and top notch customer service will have you knowing you made the right call!
